Walk In The Park Mare Not For Catching On Rules Debut

Rose In The Park (5m Walk In The Park - Shean Rose, by Roselier) impressed when drawing clear to win Saturday’s bumper at Bangor.

The daughter of Walk In The Park recorded a wide margin win at Borris House on her sole start for Donnchadh Doyle and was sent off favourite on rules debut for Shark Hanlon. Making all under Brian Hughes, she was shaken up at the three furlong pole and was ridden clear approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well, she led by eight and a half lengths on the line.

“I think Rose In The Park is a little bit special,” the winning trainer later commented. “She was very green but then the penny dropped and she galloped all the way to the line.”

Rose In The Park is owned by TJ McDonald and was bred by Mrs Eleanor Hadden.
