Wings Of Eagles Mare Bolts Up On Debut
The Great Nudie (4m Wings Of Eagles – Blue Gale, by Be My Native) emerged as an exciting prospect when bolting up on debut at Ballingarry on Sunday.
Colin Bowe’s charge was one of 15 to line up for the four-year-old mares maiden and was settled in midfield by Bertie Finn. Improving into third with four to jump, she led at the second last and produced a smart turn of foot to draw 10 lengths clear by the last. She kept on well to score by 18 lengths, with another 12 lengths back to the third horse.
The Great Nudie is owned by Leo McCardle and was bred by the Beeches Stud, where her sire Wings Of Eagles resides. She hails from her sire’s first crop conceived at the Beeches Stud, having sired two Stakes horses from hist first crop in France.
