Donnchadh Doyle’s gutsy four-year-old Talkischeap (4g Getaway-Carrigmoorna Oak, by Milan) had his third career pointing success at the weekend when scoring by 10 lengths at Grennan.
The son of Getaway, bred by Michael Veale, justified odds-on favouritism to take the winners’ of two contest and looks sure to make his mark on the track.
p2p.ie commented: “A competitive winners contest with plenty of decent form lines on offer for the grade. TALKISCHEAP (IRE) maintained his 100% record between the flags with yet another impressive display. A sharp type, he tracked the pace throughout and once being sent to the front along the back straight, the Getaway gelding proved himself to be a very sharp type by displaying a strong turn of foot and some electric jumping over the final two fences. It is rare that a four-year-old wins three races between the flags, and he is deserving of real credit for that and should win a Bumper at the outset before going on to likely enjoy a successful track career.”
