$125,000 Colt for Mo Town at OBS June
A Mo Town colt out of Etoile d’Allie caught the eye during the OBS June 2-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age Sale Under Tack Show when breezing in :9.4 last week before being snapped up by Power Racing for $125,000 on Thursday.
Named Etoile’s Town and offered by Rancho Los Sanchez, the Farm d’Allie Racing Stable-bred is out of a half-sister to the stakes placed My Shining Mate. Four-time winning dam Etoile d’Allie is also a half-sister to stakes placed Mama Yeya with the group out of an Unbridled’s Song half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Rock and Roll and stakes placed Secret Session.
Three of the colt’s four dams on the page have produced stakes performers with 14 named on the page.
This colt is bred on the same Uncle Mo son x Johannesburg daughter cross as stakes placed Everlyn’s Angel and three other winners from six runners.
The sire of 39 Northern Hemisphere foaled winners led by three stakes winners and six stakes performers, Mo Town’s second crop averaged over 13 times his stud fee at the 2023 2-year-old sales this year.
