$190,000 Colt Leads Mo Town Offerings Early at OBS
A top month continued for Mo Town during Tuesday’s opening session at the OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds when his colt out of Vendita sold to Mayberry Farm for $190,000.
A :10.1 breezer during the Under Tack show the week before, the April-born colt was offered by Britton Peak and is a grandson of the stakes winner and multiple graded-stakes placed Cure For Sale. Cure For Sale is a full sister to Grade II winner Blues For Sale, who produced four-time Grade I winner Blue Prize and Grade I winner Blue Stripe. Another half-sister is the dam of Grade II winner and Grade I-placed Far Away Love.
Raymond Kuah purchased the only other Mo Town offered on Tuesday for $150,000, a colt out of All Day Donna.
The colt offered by Brick City Thoroughbreds stopped the clock in :10.1 last week before entering the ring and is a half-brother to two winners from three to race. This is the family of stakes winner and Grade I-placed As You Like, who won 16 career starts. His fourth dam is Grade I winner A Kiss For Luck and the family also includes Grade I winner Alphabet Kisses, Grade II winner Queen’s Barn, and others.
Mo Town has been off to a fast start in the sales ring and on the track. His first three runners have finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at Keeneland and his first juveniles have sold for up to $546,080.
