$300,000 Filly For Mo Town at OBS Spring
Mo Town had another successful OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds In Training session with his first crop on Wednesday when his filly out of Hey Little Sister sold for $300,000 to Glassman Racing.
Offered by Eisaman Equine, the filly bred by Laura McKinney had been a $110,000 yearling purchase by Smoke Racing at Keeneland last September.
The filly entered the ring with at :10.0 breeze under her belt and two recent winning siblings with her dam going to six winners from seven to race in the weeks before the juvenile entered the ring.
Her dam Hey Little Sister was unraced but is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Smoke It Right, with their dam a half-sister to Grade III winner Road Rush, stakes winner and Grade I-placed Falenburg, and the granddam of Grade II winner Bachelor Blues.
Mo Town’s three to sell at the sale have all brought at least 20-times his 2022 stud fee. The freshman sire is one of just two U.S. first crop sires to have a winner in 2022.
