$300,000 Filly On Top for Golden Pal at Keeneland January

A $300,000 Golden Pal filly was purchased by Rock Bloodstock at the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale, tying for the highest price of any yearling filly at the sale.

Offered by Clarkland Farm, the filly is out of the stakes placed Scat Daddy mare Fairyland. This is a deep family with Fairyland’s dam a half-sister to Japanese champion Agnes Digital and stakes winners Jalisco Light and Shell Game. The mare is also a half-sister to the Group I-placed Reach For the Moon, who produced her own stakes producer with her daughters including the dam of stakes winner Black’s Beach.

This is a deep family and includes champion Blushing Groom among others with 10 stakes performers named on the page and multiple others just off it.

This filly was also the second most expensive yearling of the sale and 10th most expensive horse overall.
