Echo Town Yearlings Set for Fasig-Tipton July

Grade I winner Echo Town is among the three Ashford sires with first yearlings going through the ring at this week’s Fasig-Tipton July Sale with seven cataloged to be offered.

Hailing from the family of multiple Grade I winners Union Rags and Declaration of War, Hip 12 from Bluewater Sales is the second foal out of My Tempo. Bred 3 x 4 to Union Rags’ dam Tempo, the colt also sees multiple Grade III winner and Grade I placed War Correspondent and stakes winner Vertiformer.

Closer to home, the colt saw an update after the catalog was released when his dam’s half-brother French Toast earned his seventh career win.

Hip 76 from the Machmer Hall consignment is a half-brother to the multiple stakes-placed Vagabond Princess. Out of two-time winner Cave In, the Susan Young-bred colt will be making his second trip through the sales ring after selling last November as a weanling.

Born on February 1, the colt’s dam is a half-sister to champion Too Much Tip and stakes winner Agent Di Nozzo with his multiple Grade III winning granddam Quick Tip also among the 14 stakes performers named on the page.

The Gainesway-consigned Hip 203 earned a big update after the catalog was released when his half-sister Shotgun Hottie won her second career stakes in the Lady’s Secret Stakes.

Shotgun Hottie is one of three winners from four to race out of Re Entry. That mare is a half-sister to Grade I winner Sky Diva and stakes winner and Grade I placed Quick Little Miss with two other half-sisters also producing stakes performers.

This colt’s third dam is the Grade III winner Gather The Clan, who also produced dual Grade I winner Pure Clan among three stakes performers, including the stakes-placed granddam of Grade I winner Finley’sluckycharm.

The final to go through the ring for Echo Town is also consigned by Gainesway as Hip 262.

The colt is out of two-time winner Bayou Miss, who has produced four winners from six to race. Bayou Miss is out of the stakes winning Jaramar Rain, who is the dam of three stakes performers and one of three stakes performers for her own dam.
