Highway Harmony 15th Winner For Mo Town
Mo Town started November the same way he’d left October – with a winner when Highway Harmony (2f Mo Town x Tweet Street, by Quality Road) won a Maiden Special Weight at Aqueduct.
Pushed hard from the gate by jockey Javier Castellano, Highway Harmony pressed the early leader in the six-furlong race before taking command with just over a quarter mile left to run. Continuing to race wide, Highway Harmony dug deep in the stretch to find another gear and pulled away for a 1 ¼ length win.
Bred by Twin Farms, Highway Harmony is conditioned by Jorge Abreu for NY Final Furlong Racing Stable, Maspeth Stables, and Sportsmen Stable. The New York-bred has finished in the top two in both her starts for over $56,000 in earnings.
Highway Harmony is out of a winning half-sister to stakes winner Sing Dixie Sing, who is also the dam of stakes winner Quick Tempo and granddam of stakes-placed Motown Mischief. The filly’s third dam is the multiple graded stakes winner Megans Bluff, who produced Grade III winner Elusive Bluff.
Highway Harmony is the 15th winner for Mo Town, who has four stakes performers in his first crop. Highway Harmony won her race only a few hours before his son Mo Stash finished a close fourth in the Grade I Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
