Mo Town Carrying Momentum Into Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Sale
Hot off seeing a $300,000 colt sell at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, Uncle Mo son Mo Town sends six back to that pavilion for this weekend’s Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Yearlings Sale.
The first offering comes early in the sale when Bluewater Sales sends out Hip 333, a colt out of stakes-placed Among The Willows. The dam of two winners from two to race, Among The Willows is also a half-sister to Grade I winner Havana.
The colt was bred by Cheryl Prudhomme and Dr. Michael Gallivan, who also see a 16-time winner among Among the Willows’ siblings. Third dam Redding Ridge is the dam of six winners, including three stakes performers with four dam Burma Belle not only producing two stakes performers but also the dams of stakes producers as well.
South Point Sales Agency consigns Hip 382, a colt out of Dark Dolores. Bred by Irie Thoroughbreds and Maurice Casey DMV, the colt’s dam is a half-sister to Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Gastronomical and stakes winner Spanish John. Another stake-placed half-sister is the dam of two new winners since the catalog was released with Dark Dolores seeing four of her half-sisters producing stakes winners or placers.
Hip 492 from McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds is a half-sister to the dam of Grade II-placed Chase Tracker. Out of stakes-placed Miss Bodine, the filly bred by Andy Beadnell also sees a sibling with updated earnings as well from the four winners from four to race by her dam.
Miss Bodine is a half-sister to Grade II winner and Grade I-placed Icecoldbeeratreds and stakes winner Controlled, who produced Canadian champion Bear Now and stakes winner Controlled Meeting. In all, Miss Bodine is one of five stakes performers for her dam Guilded Times with that mare producing four stakes producers or dams of stakes producers. One of those daughters saw stakes winning daughter Maryanorginger, who added a placing to her record after the catalog was released.
Mo Town’s final through the ring is the second foal out of a half-sister to stakes winner Sing Dixie Sing and to a Mendelssohn colt being offered as Hip 359. Also consigned by Summerfield, the filly is Hip 607 and was bred by Twin Farms.
In addition to being a stakes winner, Sing Dixie Sing also produced stakes winner Quick Tempo. This filly’s third dam is multiple graded stakes winner Megans Bluff, who is also the dam of Grade III winner Elusive Bluff.
Mo Town sees two of his offerings go through the ring during Sunday’s 7pm session with his other four set to go through during Monday’s noon session.
