Mo Town’s Key Of Life Dominant Keeneland Winner
Key Of Life (2f Mo Town x Longride to Wisdom, by Harlan’s Holiday) was an impressive winner at Keeneland on Friday with an easy 6 ¼ length win.
Racing over six furlongs on the Keeneland dirt, Key of Life was first out of the gate and had the lead early on before letting another horse take pacemaking duties for a furlong. As they entered the turn, Key of Life made another run for the lead and easily grabbed it to enter the stretch in front.
Never asked for her absolute best, Key of Life won by 6 ¼ lengths for Flurry Racing and Hoffman Family Racing.
Third in her debut, Key of Life broke her maiden by 2 ½ lengths in her next out for trainer Brad Cox and was winning her second straight race on Friday.
The Moreau Bloodstock International bred was sold to Flurry Racing Stable from Top Line Sales for $350,000 earlier this year.
Key Of Life is one of four winners from four to run out of two-time winner Longride to Wisdom. That mare is a daughter of multiple stakes winner Clever Idea from the family of Grade II winner and successful sire Kantharos among others.
Mo Town’s 12 winners puts him eighth best of all freshman sires in 2022.
