Saratoga Maiden Special Weight Winner For Tiz The Law

It was a Saratoga Maiden Special Weight winner for Tiz The Law on Wednesday when Out On Bail (2c Tiz The Law x Judge Lee, by Street Cry) added a victory to his record.

Going off as a heavy favorite in the 5 ½ furlong turf race, Out On Bail pushed the leader from the onset in a battle for the lead. Coming into the stretch, Out On Bail started to pull away from his longtime rival and had a clear lead into the final furlong.

A late rush by two others closed his lead down to half a length, but it was enough to register a victory in his third career start with all three finishes seeing him in the top three.

Bred by Mathew Nestor, Out On Bail is trained by Mike Maker for Case Chambers, Paradise Farms, and David Staudacher.

Out On Bail is out of the two-time winning Street Cry mare Judge Lee, who is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner Euro Platinum. There are stakes performers under each of Judge Lee’s first four dams, including Grade III winner Pacific Fleet.

Judge Lee had another Tiz The Law colt in 2023.

Tiz The Law is the sire of four winners this year, tying him for fifth among all freshman sires.
