Tigerish Another Winner for Tiz The Law
Tigerish (2f Tiz The Law x Lerici, by Woodman) became the second winner for Tiz The Law on Monday with a 2 ¼ length victory on debut in a Horseshoe Indianapolis Maiden Special Weight.
Trained by Eddie Kenneally, the filly stalked the pace in the 7 ½ furlong turf race for the first half of the race. By the time they hit the stretch, Declan Cannon had his mount gathered up and started urging her to make a run for the lead.
Never asked for her full best, she pulled away to win by 2 ¼ lengths in the end.
Co-owned by her trainer with Isabol and Christian Hays, Tigerish is a half-sister to multiple Grade I winner Avenge among three stakes winners and four stakes performer out of Lerici. Each of the three dams on the page produced stakes winners with her third dam also the dam of three-time Grade I winner Mashaalah and Grade I winner Folk Art.
Lerici has an Uncle Mo yearling colt as well.
A four-time Grade I winner, Tiz The Law has seen his first 2-year-olds sell for up to $1.9 million this year.
