Tiz The Law Juveniles Set to Shine at OBS June
Tiz The Law juveniles were again flying during the OBS June 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale Under Tack Sale this week at both an eighth and a quarter mile. Buyers will have the chance to buy seven by the stallion this week with all offered in the first three sessions of the sale.
The second Tiz The Law through the ring breezed in :20.2 for Tom McCrocklin’s consignment and sells as Hip 187 during the first day.
The filly is a half-sister to four stakes performers from four to race out of the winning Dixie Union mare Southern Silence. That mare produced multiple stakes winner and Grade I placed Esplanande and multiple stakes winner Liberate among her performers before foaling this Newstead Corp-bred runner. She also produced an Uncle Mo colt this year.
There is plenty of blacktype all around this page with the filly’s granddam a stakes winning half-sister to stakes winner Silver Haze and stakes placed Unbridled Star. In all, there are nine stakes winners and five other stakes performers named.

Closest to home, her Justify half-brother Champagne Juan was second in the Grade II Belmont Gold Cup Stakes over the weekend. That stakes placing came one month after Impel was second in the Grade II Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs.
Impel is out of Well Monied’s half-sister Your Love and was also third in the Grade I Ashland Stakes earlier in the spring. A half-sister to Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Economic Model and Grade III winner Happy American among others, Well Monied is also the granddam of Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed Will’s Secret and Grade III-placed Ben Diesel.
New York-bred Hip 382 sells with Top Line Sales after breezing in :10.1 last week.
Bred by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, the colt is a half-brother to the stakes winning Niko’s Dream and two other winners out of stakes placed Adriatic Dream. Each of the colt’s first three dams produced at least one stakes performer, with two producing stakes winners. His fourth dam also produced multiple dams and granddams of stakes performers.
A half-brother to Practical Joke’s Grade III winning Money Supply sells as Hip 626 with Blue River Bloodstock after selling as a yearling for breeder Fox Run Homestead.
The colt is also a half-brother to stakes winner Sister Nation and two other winners out of two-time winner Evita’s Sister. Evita’s Sister is a full sister to Grade I winner Evita Argentina, and six other winners out of Jealous Wildcat. Farther down the page, the family also includes Grade I winner Trippi with stakes winners under three of the juvenile’s first four dams.

Out of the stakes winner and Grade III-placed Harriett Lane, she is a half-sister to eight winners from 10 to race. That group is led by the stakes winner and Grade III-placed Street of Gold and stakes winner Heiko in addition to Grade III-placed Thomas Shelby. Harriett Lane has already proven to be passing on her producing talent as the granddam of multiple graded stakes performer French Pegasus.
Harriett Lane is following a strong family tradition. Her own Grade I-placed dam Double Park’s six winners include the Grade III winner Cactus Ridge and stakes winner Sebastian County.
Tiz The Law’s juveniles have averages $281,579 at this year’s sales, led by a sale topping $1.9 million filly in April.
