Tiz The Law Yearlings Led by $330,000 Colt at Keeneland
The first week of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale was a good one for Tiz The Law when yearlings from his second crop were led by a $330,000 colt purchased by Flying Dutchmen.
That Hunter Valley Farm-consigned colt got a major update just days before going through the ring when his full brother Tiztastic won the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile to take his record to two wins in three starts. The colt’s American Pharaoh’s half-brother American Lawyer also added a win to the page with his victory in France.
Tiztastic is the second stakes winner for Keesha, who is also the dam of stakes winner and Grade II-placed Interpolate. Keesha didn’t race herself but is the dam of Grade III winner Shumoos and stakes winner Steady On. In all, there are now 10 stakes winners and three other stakes performers on the page.
Through the first four books, Tiz The Law saw 41 yearlings for $330,000, $250,000, $200,000, $200,000, etc.
