Tiz The Law Yearlings On Offer at Fasig-Tipton New York
Four-time Grade I winner Tiz The Law sees six of his first yearlings go through the ring in coming days at the Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Yearlings Sale on August 13 and 14.
The first through the ring is Hip 341 offered by Hunter Valley Farm. A filly out of three-time winner Miss Nancy, the filly’s half-brother has placed in his only start as the first runner out of his dam.
Miss Nancy’s own dam is a half-sister to Grade I winner Magnificent Song and four other stakes performers with multiple half-sisters also producing stakes performers.
Bred by Fergus Galvin, Spruce Lane Farm, and Copper Beech Stables, this filly sold for $100,000 at last November’s Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds is the breeder and consignor of Hip 495 out of the stakes placed Adriatic Dream. That mare also produced stakes winner Niko’s Dream and two other winners from four to race and herself is a half-sister to three winners from four others to race.
Each of this colt’s first three dams have produced at least one stakes performer with his fourth dam producing multiple stakes producers.
Hip 536 consigned by Hidden Brook is the second foal out of two-time winner Bourbon Endowment. Bourbon Endowment is a half-sister to the multiple graded stakes winner Laura’s Light and stakes winners Play Action Pass and Barry Lee.
Their dam Light of a Star earned blacktype as well and is the dam of seven winners from seven to race. Light of a Star is one of three dams on the page to produce stakes winners. Spruce Lane Farm, Becker Bloodstock, Copper Beech Stables, and Empire Equines are the breeder of this colt.
Buyers can see the pedigrees of all six of Tiz The Law’s yearlings here. The first of the two sessions starts at 7pm with the second taking place at noon the following day.
