Zefzaf Impressive Winner For Mo Town
Zefzaf (2c Mo Town x Tizza Trick, by Tiznow) proved to be the real deal in Saudi Arabia on Thursday when the colt won by 9 ½ lengths on debut to become his sire’s 17th winner.
The colt made his debut over six furlongs and raced just behind the leader down the center of the track. Moving closer to the rail into the turn, he settled into third just waiting for his time to run.
That time came quickly after they opened the stretch with his jockey just hand urging him to the wire and the colt galloping with his ears pricked to the line.
Zefzaf is trained by A.M Al Kahtani for Prince Faisal Bin Khaled Bin A/Aziz and was a $550,000 purchase at the Goffs Dubai Breeze Up Sale earlier this year.
Bred by Bo Hirsch, Zefzal is out of a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Exfactor and stakes winner Market Magic in addition to stakes placed Trump’s Magic. The page also includes champion Good Magic and Grade III winner Take The Ribbon.
Mo Town’s 16 winners is seventh best of all freshman sires with the group led by four stakes performers and a stakes winner.
