€560,000, €400,000 for Camelot yearlings at Arqana
Camelot has enjoyed a sensational year on the racecourse and the first opportunity to buy his yearlings in Europe this summer was understandably snapped up by buyers in Deauville at the weekend.
Leading the way was a €560,000 colt offered by Coulonces Sales and bought by M V Magnier (pictured).
The choice youngster is a sibling to top three-year-old Young Rascal and Magnier said: “He's a brother to a good horse, a very good mover, and Camelot's absolutely flying at the minute, be it colts or fillies. He looks like he has some good ones coming through among the two-year-olds as well. So let's hope he'll be another.”
Another sought-after Camelot was a colt out of the G1 Irish Oaks runner-up Venus De Milo who realised €400,000 when selling to Charlie Gordon-Watson.
