Another Day Another Winner By Sioux Nation

Lakota Blue (2c Sioux Nation - Thiel, by Teofilo) became the latest winner by exciting first season sire Sioux Nation when justifying favouritism at Carlisle on Saturday.

Nigel Tinkler’s charge caught the eye when finishing second at Haydock in May and enjoyed a boost in form when the third horse went on to win. Racing over six furlongs once again at Carlisle, he was positioned in midfield by Fay McManoman and made easy headway from two furlongs out. Ridden to lead approaching the final furlong, he showed his inexperience in the closing stages, but kept on to score by a neck.

There should be more to come from Lakota Blue, who is owned by Mr and Mrs Bendelow. The son of Sioux Nation was bred by B & B Equine Limited.
