Another Winning Newcomer By Camelot
Dancing Harry (2c Camelot - Poisson D’Or, by Cape Cross) overcame inexperience to make a winning debut in Friday’s one mile Novice Stakes at Newbury.
Despite breaking slowly, the Roger Charlton-trained colt raced in touch and was switched right to challenge approaching the three furlong marker. He made headway to chase down the leading pair two furlongs out and stayed on well to lead close home, winning by a length under Jason Watson.
Owned and bred by David Fish under the banner of Fishdance Ltd, Dancing Harry is out of a half-sister to Listed winner Olimpic Girl. It comes just two days after Camelot sired another exciting debut winner in Brentford Hope at Newmarket.
