Skyward Becomes The Latest Stakes Winner By Camelot

Camelot Colt Adds Stakes Success To Unbeaten Record

The Fabrice Chappet-trained Skyward (3c Camelot - Shakeyourbody, by Giant’s Causeway) extended his unbeaten record when taking the Listed Prix Turenne at Saint-Cloud on Friday.

The mile and a half contest marked a step up in trip for the colt, with his two prior successes having come over nine and a half furlongs at Deauville. Sent off favourite, he raced towards the back of the field under Stephane Pasquier, who asked his mount to quicken as they approached the turn for home. The bay produced a strong challenge two furlongs from home and showed an impressive turn of foot to win by an easy three lengths.

Owned by Arno Curty and bred by Aleyrion Bloodstock, Skyward is a half-brother to Group 3 scorer Siyoushake and black-type performer Pleasemetoo. Their dam is a winning full-sister to Frost Giant (Giant’s Causeway), a dual Group 3 winner in Ireland and Grade 1 winner in the US.
