Camelot Colt Gains Third Stakes Success
Wait Forever (4c Camelot - Mount McLeod, by Holy Roman Emperor) added to his haul of black-type victories when capturing the Listed Premio Natale di Roma at Milan on Sunday.
The Alduino Botti-trained colt was making his season return to the track and faced just four rivals in the mile contest. Sweeping past the group which included 2016 victor Diletto, he never looked in danger as he registered a winning margin of five lengths.
Sunday added to Wait Forever’s two Group 3 successes and brought his strike rate to five wins from 11 starts. Owned by Scuderia Effevi and bred by Pier House Stud, he is out of a winning half-sister to Group 2 Richmond Stakes winner Hamoody.
