Camelot Filly Wins Chantilly Maiden In Good Style
A drop on trip saw the promising Zvaroshka (3f Camelot - Dachenka, by Dansili) get off the mark in Thursday’s mile maiden at Chantilly.
The Stephane Wattel-trained filly had earned prize money on all of her previous starts and was sent off favourite to build on those efforts under Christophe Soumillon. Settled in midfield, she cruised into contention two furlongs from home and stayed on well to score by a length from Raqeebb (Wootton Bassett), who finished three lengths clear of the third.
Owned and bred by Alain Jathiere, the daughter of Camelot is out of a half-sister to dual Listed winner Brusco (Rock Of Gibraltar).
