Chantilly Maiden Winner Continues Fine Run For Camelot
Hoxton (2f Camelot - Potion, by Pivotal) built on last month’s promising debut to justify favouritism in Saturday’s fillies’ maiden at Chantilly.
The Fabrice Vermeulen-trained filly finished second to the impressive Chervona Kalyna (Caravaggio) at Deauville, with the race producing two subsequent winners. Stepping up to nine furlongs at Chantilly, she was settled in midfield by Maxime Guyon and was last to come off the bridle in the straight. Ridden to lead approaching the final furlong, she ran on well to win by a head.
The promising daughter of Camelot is owned by Ecurie Friedrider and was bred by Mrs Sue Ann Foley.
