Daughter Of Camelot Strikes In Newmarket Group 3

The Fozzy Stack-trained Lady Wannabe (4f Camelot - Wannabe Better, by Duke Of Marmalade) made a worthwhile trip to Newmarket at the weekend when taking the Group 3 Darley Stakes.

Last seen winning a Listed contest over the same distance of nine furlongs, the Irish raider was given a patient ride by Jamie Spencer. Making good headway approaching the final furlong, she was ridden to lead in the final 110 yards and stayed on well to win by a length and three quarters.

Saturday marked a third Stakes success overall for the Mrs T Gaffney and Mrs Barbara Murphy-owned filly. The daughter of Camelot was bred by Churchtown House Stud out of their homebred Group 3 winner Wannabe Better.
