Exciting Prospect Emerges For In-Form Camelot

Ralph Beckett and Rossa Ryan may have another smart Camelot on their hands, in the shape of Monday’s impressive eight length winner Sir Dinadan (2c Camelot – Amenette, by Power).

The Marc Chan-owned colt finished second to a well-regarded colt at Haydock last month, where he finished four lengths clear of the third horse, a performance which earned him short-priced favouritism at Pontefract. The bay appeared to relish the step up to ten furlongs, as he travelled strongly in front and quickened clear a furlong from home, before being eased down close home.

Jamie McCalmont’s 200,000gns purchase was bred by Norelands Stud and Hamish McCalmont.
