Full Brother To Luxembourg Brings €1.2million

Luxembourg (Camelot) shot to the top of the 2022 Epsom Derby market with his impressive performance in Sunday’s Group 2 Beresford Stakes, which undoubtedly convinced MV Magnier to give €1.2million for his full-brother at the Goffs Orby Sale.

Bred by Ben Sangster, Lot 366 from The Castlebridge Consignment already boasted an impressive page, with Attire (Danehill Dancer) previously producing Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes victor Leo De Fury (Australia) and Stakes performer Sense Of Style (Zoffany).

Commenting on his expensive purchase, MV Magnier said, “I'm delighted for Ben, Lucy and all the Sangsters. This is a great result for them and they have supported our stallions for years. Luxembourg looks like something out of the ordinary. We couldn't believe how good he was on Saturday.”

Earlier that day, US trainer Kenny McPeek went to €200,000 for a Camelot filly offered by Galbertstown Stables, while Pier House stud’s Camelot filly is also US-bound after selling to Dan Hayden for €200,000.
