Camelot head shot

Further Stakes Success For Camelot

Wild Goddess (3f Camelot – Grecian Light, by Shamardal) became the latest Stakes winner by in-form sire Camelot when landing Sunday’s feature race at Craon, the Listed Prix du Point du Jour.

The Godolphin homebred ended last year with a rating of 92 and switched to the Henri-Alex Pantall stable this season. She gained her first win for the yard last month and stepped back up to a mile at the weekend, when Tony Piccone rode her towards the back of the field. Improving from three furlongs out, she led after the two pole and was shaken up shortly after, going on to score by half a length.

The win comes a week after Camelot’s Bluestocking landed the Group 1 Prix Vermille and Prydwen captured the Deutsches St Leger.
