Holy Roman Emperor Filly Delivers On Debut
Heartwarmer (2f Holy Roman Emperor - Heatwave, by Leroidesanimaux) defied her inexperience to make a winning debut in Saturday’s Novice Stakes at Newcastle.
The George Boughey-trained newcomer raced in touch for much of the six furlong contest and was asked to quicken from two furlongs out. Running on well inside the final furlong, she led close home to beat previous winner Valentine Catcher by a length.
The promising daughter of Holy Roman Emperor is owned by breeder Kirsten Rausing.
