Improving Camelot Filly Gains Deserved Maiden Win
The progressive Moll (3f Camelot - Jamm, by Duke Of Marmalade) gained an important maiden victory when scoring over a mile at Dundalk on Friday evening.
The Mark Cahill-trained filly showed her liking for the all-weather surface in November and went on to finish a close second over course and distance last month. Conor Hoban took the ride on Friday and rode her in mid-division, waiting until a furlong and a half out to produce a challenge. Leading inside the final furlong, the bay kept on well to win by three parts of a length.
The daughter of Camelot is owned by Brian Cahill and was bred by Coolmore out of an unraced half-sister to Racing Post Trophy victor Rivet (Fastnet Rock).
