King Of Leogrance (Camelot) winning the Listed Prix Vulcain at Deauville

Leogrance is King of Deauville for Camelot

Progressive three-year-old King Of Leogrance (3c Camelot-Amourette, by Halling) became the latest black-type winner in a wonderful season for Camelot at Deauville on Tuesday.

Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, the imposing colt came out best in the Listed Prix Vulcain and the winning connections believe there could be still better to come.

“King Of Leogrance showed a good acceleration and if he stays in training as a four-year-old next year there would be a good programme for him,” said Rouget. “It’s important to win a Group race with him and the schedule in France for older horses over 2,500-3,000 metres is good.”

A €200,000 yearling, King Of Leogrance was bred by Michel Henochsberg and Madame Dominique Ades-Hazan.
