Newcomer is another for Camelot
In-form Camelot had a second first-crop winner in under 24 hours when debutant Alounak (2c Camelot-Awe Struck, by Rail Link) won a competitive Munich maiden on Sunday.
Trained by Jean-Pierre Carvalho for Darius Racing, the winner shook off 10 rivals to win this seven-furlong maiden by a length and a half.
Alounak was bred in France by East Bloodstock and SCEA des Prairies and was sold for 110,000 euros to HFTB Racing Agency at last year’s Arqana August Yearling Sale in Deauville.
Camelot had also been on the mark on Saturday night when the Harry Dunlop-trained Fighting Irish (2c Camelot-Quixotic, by Pivotal) won a Salisbury maiden.
