Too Friendly (Camelot) Wins His Maiden At Doncaster

Progressive Camelot Colt Lands Maiden On Return Of The Turf

The progressive colt Too Friendly (3c Camelot - Chatline, by One Cool Cat) showed a liking for the turf when landing Saturday’s ten furlong maiden at Doncaster.

Third on debut in December, the Gredley family’s homebred was beaten just a neck next time out, but faced a number of well-bred rivals on the first day of the 2021 turf season. Callum Shepherd rode George Scott’s charge to track the leaders, pushing him along approaching two furlongs out and joined the leader approaching the final furlong, driven out, he soon led and went on to score by a length and a half from the favourite.

The son of Camelot becomes the third winner out of Chatline, herself a winning half-sister to Listed winner Mugharreb.
