Sipahsalar (Sioux Nation) Wins His Maiden At Ayr

Progressive Sioux Nation Colt Gains Maiden Victory

The improving Sipahsalar (2c Sioux Nation - Top Chain, by Acclamation) led home a 1-2 for Coolmore’s first season sires in Monday’s two-year-old maiden at Ayr.

A promising third on debut, Richard Fahey’s charge finished closer on his second start last month and was reunited with Oisin Orr on the third attempt. Racing in midfield, the bay made headway from two furlongs out and was pushed along to lead approaching the final furlong. Ridden clear, he scored by two lengths in comfortable fashion, as Dream For Gold (U S Navy Flag) claimed runners-up honours.

Sipahsalar was sourced by his trainer and Robin O’Ryan at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up, where he sold for £130,000. Owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, he continues a smart start at stud by top-class two-year-old Sioux Nation.
