Promising Camelot Colt Wins Maiden In Good Style
Tabletalk (3c Camelot – Dillydallydo, by Holy Roman Emperor) built on a promising debut to run out a smart winner of Thursday’s ten furlong maiden at Chelmsford.
Tom Clover’s charge finished third over a mile in December and with the form having worked out well, was sent off favourite on return. The bay raced prominently under Rossa Ryan and improved to lead from two furlongs out. Running on well inside the final furlong, he was eased close home to win by a length and a quarter, with another three and a half lengths back to the third.
Owned by Abdulla Al Mansoori, Tabletalk was bred by Cottage Bloodstock out of a half-sister to Group performers Drill Sergeant (Rock Of Gibraltar) and Nobilis (Rock Of Gibraltar).
