Rouget sends out another smart Camelot winner

Heroine (3f Camelot-Elusive Galaxy, by Elusive City) brought more first-crop success for Camelot on Saturday ahead of what promises to be an exciting season for his three-year-olds.

Jean-Claude Rouget saddled the highly promising filly to win the Prix de Porquerolles at Cagnes-sur-Mer, having broken her maiden at the same venue in January.

JDG commented: “Héroïne (Camelot) took the Prix de Porquerolles (Class 2) on Saturday at Cagnes-sur-Mer with serious style. Philippe Segalot and François Pinault’s representative had made a big impression with her previous victory in the Prix Bonnard at the end of January. She was the least experienced of the first four finishers in the Prix de Porquerolles.”

Heroine was bred by Haras du Logis Saint-Germain.

Earlier in the week, Rouget had sent out newcomer Miranda (3f Camelot-Great Artist, by Desert Prince) to score on her debut in the manner of another classy performer.
