Sioux Nation Foals Reward Breeders At Tattersalls
Those who supported Sioux Nation in his first season at stud were rewarded in the sales ring on Thursday, where his only two offered averaged 40,000gns.
It represented a substantial return on his opening stud fee of €12,500, an element of what made the son of Scat Daddy one of Europe’s most popular new stallions in 2019.
Castlehyde Stud, who stand the Royal Ascot winning juvenile, supported their resident when giving 50,000gns for a colt from his first crop offered by Stringston Farm. The bay colt is out of a winning half-sister to Stakes performer Extreme Fast and comes from the family of Generous, Imagine and Moonlight Cloud.
Trickledown Stud offered another Sioux Nation colt on behalf of B&B Equine, which fetched 30,000gns from Ray Townsend. The January-born colt is out of Thiel, herself a daughter of 1,000 Guineas third Vista Bella.
