Vitamin supplements Camelot’s great record
Camelot had another classy first crop winner at Newmarket on Friday when Richard Hannon sent out Vitamin (2f Camelot-True Verdict, by Danehill Dancer) to win a Newmarket maiden full of blue bloods by two lengths.
The Ben Sangster-bred filly had finished an excellent third on her racecourse debut and stepped up to win this seven-furlong maiden in taking style.
“Vitamin ran a nice race first time and these Camelots are just coming to themselves. We'll look for black type,” said Hannon’s representative.
Meanwhile, in this week’s Racing Post Weekender, two of the four juveniles trainer David Simcock picks out to follow are by Camelot.
“I think Camelot is an exciting sire,” said Simcock, before selecting Highland Sky (2c Camelot-Healing Magic, by Bering) and Lady Of Shalott (2f Camelot-Silent Act, by Theatrical) as a duo to watch.
