Well Bred Camelot Colt Strikes On Debut

The future looks bright for Opinion Writer (3c Camelot - Emma Knows, by Anabaa), after the well-related colt made a winning debut at Senonnes on Wednesday.

Henri-Alex Pantall’s charge was one of 16 to line up for Prix Alexandre De Sennones over ten and a half furlongs, and chased the leaders for much of the way under Luka Rousseau. Ridden in the straight, he ran on strongly to lead inside the final furlong and kept on well to win by three parts of a length.

Opinion Writer is owned by Guy Heald, who also raced his half-brother My Scholar to gain black-type. The pair are out of a half-sister to Group performer King Of Camelot (Camelot) and the mare has a two-year-old brother to Opinion Writer to race.
