Hobbs newcomer looks another smart one for Getaway

Frank Jarvey’s home-bred Mcnamaras Band (4g Getaway-Katies Pet, by Glacial Storm) looked a four-year-old with a big future when scoring at Worcester on Saturday.

The Getaway four-year-old was sent off favourite for his debut in the bumper, holding on to score cosily for trainer Philip Hobbs under champion jockey Richard Johnson.

Mcnamaras Band is out of a half-sister to classy steeplechaser Rince Ri and looks sure to progress when sent jumping.
