Promising Son Of Vadamos Takes Competitive Hurdle
Big Boy Bobby (4g Vadamos - Duchess Of Foxland, by Medecis) built on earlier promise to land competitive two mile hurdle at Huntingdon on Sunday.
Alan King’s charge faced nine previous hurdle winners at Huntingdon, with the market led by Grade 2 performer Impulsive One. The bay raced in midfield under Tom Bellamy and made smooth headway to challenge at the second last. Soon in front, he was shaken up to go clear on the run-in and led by three lengths and three quarters on the line.
Big Boy Bobby is owned by the Incipe Partnership and placed on his first two starts over hurdles, having previously won on the flat for Roger Charlton. Bred by Foxland Stud, he hails from the first crop of Grange Stud sire Vadamos.
