Second Straight Success for Getaway Trump
Getaway Trump (5g Getaway - Acinorev, by Cape Cross) recorded his second straight win over hurdles at Exeter on Friday.
The Paul Nicholls-trained horse won a novice hurdle at Plumpton by five lengths last month and won by the same margin at Exter, though after dropping back to two miles and one furlong, on heavy ground. Once again ridden by Harry Cobden, he tracked the leaders and asserted at the last, quickening home well to win in impressive fashion.
Bred by Eugene O’Sullivan, the son of Getaway sold to Tom Malone and Paul Nicholls for £90,000 after winning a four-year-old maiden at Lisronagh by nine lengths for Vincent Halley.
