Son Of Yeats Adds Another Hurdle Win To Smart CV
The Fergal O’Brien-trained Brief Ambition (7g Yeats - Kentucky Sky, by Cloudings) showed a willing attitude when justifying favouritism in Monday’s Novices’ Hurdle at Perth.
Carrying a double penalty, the bay raced prominently throughout under Paddy Brennan and held a two length advantage at the final flight. Ridden out on the run-in, he prevailed by half a length on the line, with another nine lengths back to his nearest rival.
Owned by C Coley, D Porter, Harry Redknapp and P Smith, Brief Ambition has never finished out of the first four in his 12 career starts. Successful between the flags and in a bumper, the son of Yeats earned breeder T Wood black-type in a bumper last year.
