Three Tiz The Law Juveniles Offered at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic
Just days after four-time Grade I winner Tiz The Law registered his first winner, buyers have more chances to secure their own juvenile by the sire with three on offer at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Old In Training sale.
The first Tiz The Law through the ring is the New York-bred Hip 162 offered by Wes Carter on behalf of Lemon Creek Farm.
Bred by Pine Ridge Stable, the filly is the third out of winning Smart Strike mare Marcy Darcy. The producer of a winner form her one to race, Marcy Darcy is a daughter of the Grade I winner Hot Dixie Chick. That mare also produced Grade I winner Pauline’s Pearl, multiple stakes winner Union Jackson, and the stakes placed Marsalis.
Hot Dixie Chick is a half-sister to the dual Grade I winner Always Dreaming and Grade II winner Positive Spirit out of the Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Above Perfection. Marcy Darcy visited Champion 3-Year-Old Colt Epicenter last year.
Hip 296 offered by Navas Equine is out of the Grade III-placed Sensitively and breezed in :10.1 on Wednesday.
Sensitively is one of three winners from three to race out of the winning Elusive Quality mare Dressmaker. Bred by Ashview Farm and Old Oak Farm, the filly has seen eight of her first 10 dams produce stakes performers with the only two not in that group being her own dam – who only has one runner, and her third dam – who only had two runners.
Sensitively was another in Epicenter’s first book last year.
The final for the stallion through the ring is Hip 466 consigned by Shamrock Stable, a colt bred by Forever Spring Farm.
This is the first foal out of Munnings’ Behind The Lines, who is a half-sister to stakes winner and Grade I-placed Hidden Message. They are out of the stakes winning Secret Charm, who is one of two stakes winners out of the Grade I-placed Viz.
Viz also produced the stakes winning Relish The Thought, who produced the Grade II winner My Gi GI and the stakes placed duo of Karabiner and New Mexico. In all, Viz and her daughters and granddaughters have produced nine stakes performers.
Each of Behind The Lines’ first eight dams has produced at least one stakes performer with seven producing stakes winners.
Tiz The Law has seen all three of his first runners hit the board at least once. His first juveniles have also sold for up to $1.9 million in 2024, averaging $288,889 with a $107,500 median.
