Australia Filly Eases Clear On Second Start
Karat Karat (3f Australia - Kitcara, by Shamardal) confirmed herself a useful prospect when running out a commanding winner of the Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Yarmouth on Thursday.
The William Haggas-trained filly finished a promising fourth on debut last month, and with the winner subsequently taking a Listed race, was sent off favourite to build on that effort. Racing over ten furlongs, she made all under Tom Marquand and was asked to quicken from two furlongs out. Clear before the final furlong, she was pushed out to win by an easy three and a half lengths.
The daughter of Australia is owned and bred by Sunderland Holdings.
