Back To Back Wins For Progressive Son Of Gleneagles
The Ken Condon-trained Teed Up (3g Gleneagles - Dibiya, by Caerleon) maintained his progressive profile when gaining back-to-back wins at Galway on Tuesday.
Second on his first two starts, Robert Ng’s homebred got off the mark last month and was sent off favourite to follow up in the Donnellys Of Barna Rated Race. Billy Lee rode the bay to chase the leaders, asking him to quicken turning for home and his mount responded well to lead inside the final furlong. The winning margin was three parts of a length, as 275,000gns horse-in-training purchase Dance Jupiter was left to claim runners-up honours.
The winning jockey later commented, “His form was solid. He probably had to improve but he did with the step-up in trip. I just bided my time to get into the straight and when I went for him he picked up well.”
