Promising Son Of Gleneagles Delivers On Stable Debut
There should be more to come from Thyer (3g Gleneagles– Magical Rhythms, by Pioneerofthenile), after the son of Gleneagles made a winning return to action at Windsor on Monday afternoon.
The bay had shaped like a nice type when winning last season, but had been absent since then, and made his first start for Marco Botti on Monday. Partnered by Hollie Doyle in the novice stakes over a mile, he raced prominently throughout and kept on well inside the final 110 yards to deny the well-backed favourite by a nose.
Owned by Mohamed Rashid Hamdan Al Saadi, Thyer is the first foal bred by Nawara Stud out of the mare Magical Rhythms.
