Tranquil Lady (Australia) Wins The Group 3 Prix De Flore at Saint-Cloud

Daughter of Australia Doubles Group Tally At Saint-Cloud

Saturday saw Tranquil Lady (3f Australia - Repose, by Quiet American) gain her second Group success in the Group 3 Prix de Flore at Saint-Cloud.

Stakes-placed as a juvenile, the Joseph O’Brien-trained filly impressed earlier this season when drawing four lengths clear in the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes, with runner-up Lily Pond (Galileo) later boosting the form with a Group 2 win.

Partnered by regular rider Dylan Browne McMonagle at the weekend, she raced prominently throughout the ten furlong contest and was asked to quicken from three furlongs out. Ridden to challenge a furlong later, she led approaching the final furlong and was driven out to deny the favourite Rumi by half a length.

Tranquil Lady is owned by Teme Valley Racing, having been bought by Richard Ryan as a yearling for £160,000. The daughter of Australia was bred by Tinnakill Bloodstock and is a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner State Of Rest (Starspangledbanner).
