Daughter Of Gleneagles Strides Clear To Maiden Victory
Four Blondes (3f Gleneagles – Symposium, by Exceed And Excel) built on previous promise to get off the mark in Wednesday’s seven furlong maiden at Fairyhouse.
The Ross O’Sullivan-trained filly finished second in a Curragh maiden on her final juvenile start and returned to finish a fine fifth in a similar contest last month. Sent off joint-favourite on Wednesday, she raced prominently under Shane Foley and improved to lead after the two furlong pole. Ridden clear a furlong from home, she ran on well to score by three and a half lengths.
“Four Blondes deserved that on last year's form,” O’Sullivan said after the race. “She wouldn't mind a little bit more ease in the ground and she could be progressive.”
The daughter of Gleneagles is owned by John Bowden and was bred by Foxhill Bloodstock.
