Beyond Reason (Australia) winning the G3 Prix Six Perfections at Deauville

G3 win for Australia filly

Australia’s exciting daughter Beyond Reason (2f Australia-No Explaining, by Azamour) continued a bright start to her career with a brave victory in the G3 Prix Six Perfections over seven furlongs at Deauville on Saturday.

The Charlie Appleby-trained two-year-old was slightly slowly away from the stalls but soon recovered to settle in a close fourth and then hit the front in the final furlong.

“Beyond Reason is a nice filly and I am delighted to see her win a Group 3 contest,” said Appleby. “We felt that she hit the front a bit too soon in the Chesham Stakes, when she still ran well to finish fourth, so we told Tony Piccone to come with a late run today. He has given the filly a great ride.

“We will give her a bit of time to strengthen up and could come back to France later in the season for the G3 Prix d’Aumale (at Longchamp on September 9).”

Bred by Paget Bloodstock, Beyond Reason made 370,000gns as a yearling at Tattersalls last year.
